Well I said I was going to post this yesterday, but I've had a sick baby who has felt lousy and pretty much all I've done for 3 days is hold him. Hopefully he is on the mend since he went to the doctor today and got some more medicine.

On Wednesday of last week we had the opportunity to take a little side trip to a nearby town and visit a cousin/longtime friend of mine and her family. She has four children just like us except she has three girls and one boy. Lila was so excited about getting to play with girls!

We met at their local playground and the kids played while Mindy and I talked nonstop for a couple of hours. Then we went back to her house for lunch before going back to the campground.

For a while, Micah was pretending to be the "bad/scary guy" while the girls screamed and laughed. Thankfully he actually started playing with them rather than just trying to scare them.

This is when Micah was making scary noises at them. They seemed to love it!

Jude wasn't feeling the best that day, but he still had a smile on his face.


Here's the whole crew minus Jude who was sleeping. The kids had a great time visiting even though they don't get to see each other very often. Mindy and I grew up together and have spent many, many days with one another. I'm glad our kids can know one another as well. This little side trip was definitely a highlight of our vacation! Thanks for inviting us over Mindy!!
