Click on Tad's blog to see the cool slide show Tad made of all the Easter pictures. Turn up the volume to hear the music. Enjoy!

We had a great day yesterday beginning very early with a sunrise service. We had to get the kids up extra early so we weren't sure how they would do, but they did great. I think they were too cold and tired to move. Afterwards we had breakfast at the church. After the regular church service we had lunch with family and then relaxed. It was a great day. Everyone's still tired from getting up so early yesterday, but I'm glad we did it. Tad took lots of photos and I wanted to post them, but he wants to make a slide show first.

We had fun visiting the Easter Bunny today. No one cried this time. You can see from their smiles that they are all feeling better after a week of sickness.

Here are the pictures of the flowers pots with the seeds we planted. The kids played outside a lot that evening, especially with the new swing Tad rigged up on a big tree. Also we had our church egg hunt today and Tad took a few shots there. The kids had a great time even though it was storming outside and they had to hunt eggs indoors. Each plastic egg was filled with candy and Micah sat down immediately afterwards and opened all his eggs and started eating the candy.

The time change doesn't seem to agree with our family. Our children have been
awfully grouchy because they have been staying up later this week and not getting
enough rest. Micah is starting to get a cold and doing school with Drennan is like
pulling teeth the last few days.
Today's it's raining so I can't put them outside to play and get rid of some energy, so
I think I'll let them watch a movie and relax indoors.
On a good note, I love that it's daylight longer. The kids have been going out when Tad
gets home and again after supper. Plus the warmer weather is nice. Spring is around the
corner. The kids and I have planted some flowers seeds in pots. They are excited about
watching them grow. Tad took pictures of them so I'll post those later. Hopefully we can
get out and start working on our vegetable garden soon. In the meantime, I gotta get back
to my grouchy children and keep them busy.

This weekend was The Hay Haw Show at the Community Center in New Salem.
This event is sort of like the old Hee Haw Show that used to come on TV.
Of course we add and take away some things to make it unique. We had a huge
crowd both Friday and Saturday. I played the piano a lot in it. Tad sang, ran the sound, and was the announcer (he loves a microphone). Drennan and Micah both said jokes. Neither of them were afraid of the stage. Baby Lila was adorable in her original "Hee Haw"
overalls that once belonged to my sister, Kelley, in the early 70s. They were great!
For those of you who missed it, here are some pictures.

This is my niece, Nettie, who played the fiddle with 3 of her sisters.

The Adkins Family Band performing.

Micah was a cow for a skit. He made a very cute cow.

Tad sang "In the Jailhouse Now" from the movie
"Oh, Brother Where Art Thou." Everyone commented on
how well he sang and how out of character it was for him
to act so goofy and sing.
