I didn't think I was going to get a post in today, but thankfully I have a few minutes before going to bed. I can't believe that eight years ago Drennan was born!! I just can't believe he is 8!

We had a party today with a Harry Potter theme. My brother-in-law decorated the cake for us. We also had several types of goodies that you read about in the books, such as chocolate frogs.
Drennan really wanted to have his party on his actual birthday instead of waiting for the weekend. One of the advantages of having a summer birthday. :) The only thing is we are also having Vacation Bible School this week, so I'm pretty frazzled. One more night of VBS and hopefully we can rest for a few days.

Drennan got some great gifts and had a good time playing around.

We've been really busy lately, but with lots of fun stuff. We finished up with our 180 days of school a couple of weeks ago, so we've had more time to play around.
I have a few blog posts coming soon from baseball, a cookout we hosted, and swimming.

Last night we took the kids to a Chattanooga Lookouts baseball game. Drennan has been really into baseball since he started playing this spring, so he really enjoyed watching the game. Micah and Lila just enjoyed the ice cream and free hot dog and coke they each received.

This is a terrible picture, but I'm just trying to show that the baby and I were there as well. Lila, too, was there, but I didn't get a good picture of her.

Being in a downtown city is such a different experience when you have kids. We rode a shuttle from where we parked to the ball field and it really brought back the memories of riding across campus on a bus at UGA. The only difference being that instead of carrying a backpack I was carrying a baby.
