It's been so chilly outside this week, and it has rained just enough each day that the kids can't get outside too much. So it was time to pull out a craft. Drennan and Lila used their hand prints to make flowers. Painting is always a hit!



Drennan decided to find some flower pictures online and try and recreate them in paint. I thought he did great.


Micah was not in a cooperative mood during this time. He actually did make a flower, but not until after these pictures were made. It turned out really good too.

We were ready for church early today, which is a novelty for us, and Tad brought out his camera because he thought the lighting on the front porch was really cool. Drennan was the first one out, so he became the first camera subject.

He put on his suave (pronounced suav-ey) look.





The kids all sang at church today so these two wanted to wear ties. Micah loves wearing a tie!




Jude got to wear his newsboy hat today. I love his expression here.


Lila wasn't up for pictures, but that was ok because she did great when it was time for them to sing!

Baseball games started Saturday preceded by a parade and opening ceremonies. The parade is basically each team riding around the block on trucks. I made pictures of the boys in their trucks, but you couldn't see them good so I didn't post them. Drennan and Memp (Memphis) are on the Pirates team, while Micah, who is in a younger group, is on the Orioles team.

My camera batteries ran down before Micah's game started, so I'll have to start with him next game.

It was very cloudy and actually a little chilly Saturday, and I was glad because Jude didn't get sunburned. However we didn't take jackets and it felt more like early spring rather than June like it has been feeling lately. Many more games to come...

Wow, Jude is already 6 months old! The other kids love it that he is eating some baby cereal now. Hopefully he will start baby food soon. I'm never too anxious to start baby food for several reasons. One, it takes longer and requires more work than nursing. Two, it means I have to start brushing his gums because of the sugar from the foods. Three, his diapers will be a lot messier. But we will start soon because he is really eager to eat when we are eating.

We had a long day yesterday from storytime, dental appts, and other errands. So today hopefully we will rest a little before baseball practice.

My babies have all taken naps during the day in a swing. The rocking keeps them asleep and being up off the ground keeps them safe from other little ones walking around. Jude has already started sitting up while in his swing. Usually he will lean back in it when he is ready to go to sleep, but sometimes he gets to playing or watching the other kids and will fall asleep sitting up. I was able to catch him on camera a couple (but not all) of the times he has done this. He's so cute in this position, but never fear I always lie him back when I find him like this.



Notice he's holding the toy in both pictures. He just gets too busy playing and forgets how sleepy he is.

I had Tad take some pictures of the kids in their Easter outfits a few days before Easter because I didn't know if we would have time to do it on Sunday. I thought they turned out great!








I remember when Drennan was five and he made silly faces in all of the pictures we made of him. Now, it seems, Micah is doing the same. Apparently it's a 5-year old thing.

The rest of these were taken Sunday. The kids spent most of the afternoon outside, since it was such a beautiful day. These two goofballs were telling jokes I suspect.


Lila and Cohen mostly followed each other around and played. They look so serious here probably because they were not being very cooperative in front of the camera. :)

We were so tired by the end of the day, but we were so thankful for the time spent with family and the great weather.

Here is a picture of 10 of the 16 great grandkids at my Grandma's house yesterday...wearing their Easter best. They had lots of fun hunting eggs (real ones, not plastic), playing around, and eating. Tad took some great outdoor shots that I hope to get up soon.

In the meantime, we are having Spring Break around here so it's lazy days (well, for the kids) for a week. Hopefully I can catch up on some laundry (didn't do any for 3 days...what was I thinking?!) and some other things I've been putting off.
