Finally made it to the last Disney World post. It takes so long to go through the pictures and have the time to sit and blog about it.
On Thursday of our trip, we went to Epcot. We were more rested this day than when we went to Hollywood Studios, so everyone was in better spirits.
We arrived early (when the gates opened), and there was hardly anyone there. It was so nice to not have the crowds.
If you'll notice in the picture, there's hardly anyone behind us.
Epcot is broken up into two sections. One is where the rides are and the other is countries.
We do the rides first, then we move on the the countries.
The three bigger kids and I were off playing a game (see next picture), while Jude and Tad were walking around. In front of "Mexico" a group of people, one on stilts, started performing. Really neat, but almost creepy. It kept Jude's attention. :)
Epcot has an interactive game you can play with a phone that you carry around. It was Perry the Platypus and we had to go to "China" and follow the directions to find Agent P. It was fun. In the picture, Jude and Tad had caught up with us.
Mulan smiling with Lila and Micah. The other people went to get fast passes for a ride (so we wouldn't have to wait in line later.)
Drennan taking a break in "Morocco."
We didn't want to stand in line to have our picture made with Belle from Beauty and the Beast, so we waited a little while near the door where she comes out. She walked right by the kids...smiling the whole time. This was in "France."
Tigger and Piglet were in the "United Kindgom." Jude fell asleep by this time, so he wasn't in the picture. These two characters were great. Tigger got Drennan's hat and put it on his ear. They were very friendly.
Mary Poppins. When it was time to take the picture, she turned to Micah and in her British accent she said, "Stand up straight like a proper gentleman."
This shot is a little blurry. I can't remember who took it. This was right before we left, we were sitting just under the big ball. We were all exhausted. My feet were aching, my phone battery was very low, I lost my sunglasses on a fast ride so I had to wear Drennan's, and we did everything we wanted to do at Epcot..so it was time to go.
In between all the rides and country sight seeing, we managed to eat lunch in "China" and later had a pastry in "Norway." It was a fun-filled day. Pretty sure we collapsed when we got back to our "pretend home," as Jude likes to call it.
The next day we spent swimming at the resort and packing up to head home on Saturday. So thankful we had another opportunity to go to Disney World. Lots of memories!
