We made the decision this year to add a third park into our trip. So on Wednesday of our trip we visited Hollywood Studios. In hindsight, it wasn't a great decision because we were so exhausted from the day before when we went to Magic Kingdom. But we already bought our tickets and thought we could do it.
There aren't as many rides at Hollywood Studios, and we went straight to the ones that didn't have long wait times...again trying to avoid meltdowns.
This ride was the Backlot Tour. We rode a trolley around the park and got to see some behind-the-scenes. Jude is looking up at the Hollywood Studios water tower. The announcer on the tour said it was the "famous water tower that supplies the water to the park." Also she said to be sure and get a picture. So we did.
We happened to be walking along the sidewalk and all of a sudden saw the Green Army Man from Toy Story. We had to get a picture with him. We also got his autograph (the kids got autographs from every character they could), and he signed the paper "Green Army Man."
There was a character greeting building that we went into, but the lines were so long we ended up not waiting. But we did get to see Ralph and Vanellope from Wreck-it Ralph as they walked in. The kids love this movie.
There was a great playground built to look like "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" movie. Everything was huge. You felt like you were in a yard as tiny as an ant, however, you can see from this picture that you would be smaller than an ant. It was a really fun playground.
This is a Muppets fountain right outside of the 3-D Muppet movie. This was one of my favorites there. It was a theater that looks exactly like the muppet theater on the old show. Even had the two little old men in the balcony making jokes. It was great.
This shot was taken on the way out. We left in the afternoon thinking we would let Jude have a nap and go back, but once we got back to the resort we decided we were too tired to go back. So we saved up our energy for the next day.
We didn't get a lot of pictures at Hollywood Studios. Even the photographer, or I should say especially the photographer, was very tired. I don't know how people can go to parks every day without taking a break in between like we did last year. I guess they just don't mind the tired and grouchy company.
wow you guys had the best vacation ever!!
