My sisters and their kids came over yesterday to assemble and decorate gingerbread houses. I would like to add that if you are the least bit artistically challenged you shouldn't get the houses that are not pre-built. We bought a "village" thinking my kids could each have his own house to decorate. But it didn't work out and they ended up just decorating the pieces and eating the candy. The Stanfields, however had the big houses and with the help of their dad (who is extremely talented in the art department) they constructed and decorated very cute houses. Here is a look at one of theirs.

The blurry green object in the front of the picture was a little bit of what ours ended up looking like. I wouldn't let Tad get a clear shot of it...too shameful.
The rest of our week is going to be very busy with family gatherings. We just have a little time today to finish up with our present wrapping and last minute stuff. Can't wait for Santa to come tonight!
