In general, I don't like rainy days. It's so gloomy and we can't get out so it makes for a slow day.
But it's been so hot lately and we've spent so much more time outside than inside so today I welcome the rain (plus our newly planted apple trees could really use it).

Since we've started school, if we aren't doing "school" then we are outside. They love to play outside, which is one of the reasons I'm dreading cooler weather. But today we woke up to rain. A Fall rain that is set in for the day. So, time to pull out indoor toys and activities.
I bought Lila some markers and a coloring sheet recently but have yet to get it out because, like I said, we aren't ever inside long enough to get it out.


The boys have been playing with cars all morning. They've been playing so well together that I decided to hold off bookwork til later in the morning. Oh and today is "blue" day for us. Micah has a color of the week and on Fridays we all wear that color (if we have it). Last week Lila was the only one who was able to wear purple.


Fridays are usually lazier days for us, so it's nice that we have a rainy day to relax and be at home. Also I'm going to catch up on some much needed housework. Being gone or outside most of each day does not make for a clean house.
