I told the kids they could each pick out a baking recipe for Christmas. Drennan chose sugar cookies. I'm not a big fan of making sugar cookies because of the long process and potential huge mess. But Drennan said he would do it all by himself, so I agreed to let him try.
Lila decided to help. Micah mostly watched for a bit then lost interest.
They turned out great! Now Santa will have some cookies from the Evearitts! (As long as we keep everyone from eating them before Christmas Eve.)
After the baking was done, I realized making sugar cookies isn't quite as stressful when you aren't doing it with toddlers. :) It sure is nice to have a big kid who can read directions!
