We had a great Thanksgiving. We had lunch with Tad's family and Shonda (Tad's sister) brought an African family with her. They are a part of a group of refugees, and they don't speak hardly any English. It made for a very multicultural lunch. Click here if you want to hear more about this group of refugees. For supper we went to my Grandmother's house. Everyone was a little somber without my grandfather being there, but we all helped out with the cooking and we had a great time there. Today we went to MamaSue's (my dad's parents) and had lunch. Needless to say we will be eating light for the next week!!
Our family had a huge scare this week. My 5-year old niece, Ellie Anna, who lives in Pensacola, had an abscessed tooth and had to have an emergency surgery. Thankfully she is doing ok now. Tad now feels the need to brush his teeth at various times throughout the day:) It's 5:50pm and he just brushed again.
We're all really tired now from the week, but I'm so thankful to belong to such big, loving families.

I have two new recipes I may try out this weekend. One is for apple/cranberry cake and one is for sour-dough bread. Maybe I can make them both fat-free! ha.

Okay. There was a little innocent misunderstanding here...I was feeling the need to brush my teeth often because of all the Thanksgiving food, sweets, etc. - not the Stanfield scare. Why do I feel the need to defend my dental hygiene? 'cause I'm a friggin nutty husband, baby! ;P

Go to Dollar General or Family Dollar and buy one of their pics -- like the dentist uses. It's great.

You`re a great storyteller Wendy. You should save all of these and maybe write a book one of these days. I`ve been trying to get your mother to do that for years
